Wood Products Workshop
- Workshop Description
This one-day workshop will introduce fundamentals of wood as an industrial raw material. Basics of structural wood composites, wood destroying insects, small business planning for wood products, elements of carbon credits, and application of lean manufacturing concepts to wood products manufacturing are some of the subjects that will be covered.

Brad Kard is a professor and endowed professorship of structural and urban in the department of entomology and plant pathology at OSU. He has degrees from San Jose State University, Virginia Polytechnics Institute and North Carolina State University.
Craig McKinley is a professor and extension forester in the department of natural resource ecology and management at OSU. He has degrees from Oklahoma State University and Texas A&M University.
Chuck Willoughby is the business and marketing relations manager at the Robert M. Kerr Food & Agricultural Products Center at OSU. He has degrees from Oklahoma State University.
Win Adams is an applications engineer in the OSU department of biosytems and agricultural engineering. Adams holds a professional engineering degree and also is an extension agent for the Oklahoma Alliance for Manufacturing Excellence.
Salim Hiziroglu is a professor in the department of natural resource ecology and management at OSU. He has degrees from Karadeniz Technical University, University of California, Berkeley and Michigan State University.
